Communities

The following is our Philosophy regarding Communities used to guide practice and to help support children’s wellbeing, development and learning in our early childhood education and care service centre.

We believe:

  • The purpose of a children’s service is to promote children’s wellbeing, development and learning.  Children both live with and are supported to adopt values, attitudes and ways of living and learning that will help them to be effective members of the broader communities in which they now live and will live in the future.
  • Children’s services must have strong connections with the larger community, thereby supporting children to be a part of the community around them.

 It is therefore our short and long term broad aim to achieve the practice of building relationships with Communities to help support children’s wellbeing, development and learning in our early childhood care and education service centre
